Adults Can Help

Be part of something amazing in Onslow Village.

5th Guildford Scout Group is made possible by volunteers from the local community. Each Scout Group is a charity and relies entirely on volunteers from the local community to run. Currently we have a team of around 20 volunteers, including trustees (who work behind the scenes) and volunteers who get involved with delivering the programme. Volunteering is flexible, and built around the time you have available.

We are currently looking for:

Volunteers to be part of the Scouts Team.
Volunteers to be part of the Beavers Team.
Two trustees to join the Trustee Board. This meets about five or six times a year and provides a governance role supporting the activities of the group. Trustees see the big picture, make decisions and work together. As a team, you’ll ensure that everything’s being done safely and legally, as well as connecting Scouts with your local community. Oh, and it’s fine if you’ve not been a Trustee before. We’ll support you, making sure you learn everything you need to know, as you go.
